Designed with simplicity in mind, SMEE AnyCape Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD) ensures that safety is never complicated. Simple to use, quick to deploy - because in emergencies, clarity is key and every breath counts. The AnyCape was developed to replenish oxygen and adsorb carbon dioxide in a closed structure so that you can breathe clean air with the same composition as the atmosphere.
The SMEE AnyCape positive pressure EEBD is used for Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) situations and is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in emergency situations. SMEE EEBD's provide an immediate and independent source of medical oxygen, protecting users from harmful gases, smoke, or oxygen deficient atmospheres. 

SMEE Emergency Escape Breathing Device

The SMEE Anycape positive pressure Emergency Escape Breathing Device allows for quick deployment and is simple to use in four steps. Once the automatic operation is activated the Anycape will provide an immediate and continuous supply of compressed medical oxygen for a minimum of 30 and up to 50 minutes. The Anycape is highly visible, compact, lightweight (2.40 kg), flame retardant and utilises its own patented air cooler technology. SMEE Anycape EEBD gives the wearer a peace of mind and additional time to evacuate and assist others from Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) situations.

30 Minutes or More

Securing the longest breathing time domestically and internationally of more than 30 minutes. Anycape can be used for up to 50 minutes or more depending on individual breathing rate*.

Within 10 seconds

No seperate operation required. Quick evacuation possible by donning and auto activation within 10 seconds.

Maintain oxygen concentration. Lower the carbon dioxide concentration.

  1. 5% of oxygen is used during inhalation, and the remainder is expelled through exhalation.

  2. Exhaled breath is trapped inside the Anycape and consumed oxygen is replenished.

  3. The emitted carbon dioxide is removed through a CO2 adsorbent.

  4. The air created in the re-breather bag is inhaled by the wearer through the breathing tube and then expelled through exhalation.

  5. By repeating this process, breathing circulation is achieved.

O2 Regulator design and specification

The SMEE Anycape O2 regulator is a device that regulates the pressure so that oxygen is charged at a high pressure of 200 bar, usually the regulated maximum charging pressure for oxygen is discharged at a rate of about 2 L per minute.
Our self-developed small regulator has an integrated structure of a pressure gauge, pressure reducer, and valve, contributing to miniaturisation and weight reduction of the Anycape.

Auto Activation (automatic operation utilising the gear wheel principle)

The safety tab connected to the automatic operation device separates and grabs the neck in contact with the valve.                                                                       Once it is pulled, the safety pin engages with the gear-shaped valve, rotates, and an immediate oxygen supply is delivered.

Canister Cooling Structure (CO2 absorption heat exchange technology)

Aluminium material with high thermal conductivity transfers cold air from the cylinder to the canister.

Cold oxygen moves to the re-breather bag, alleviating the exothermic reaction with the canister.

Special structure separates the intake and exhaust, preventing eddy currents to alleviate heat generation reaction.

  • In Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health Situations conditions can rapidly deteriorate. There are toxic fumes and smoke filling up the air and escape is the only option. The SMEE Anycape EEBD was designed for simple use by most individuals. When the safety pin is pulled SMEE Anycape EEBD is auto activated and provides and immediate supply of medical oxygen to the wearer. SMEE Anycape EEBD allows the wearer to escape to a safe place with a peace of mind.

  • The SMEE EEBD Anycape weighs only 2.40 kilograms. Made to take the pressure and weight off the wearer in an emergency, wearers will be able to move around and escape with less weight on their shoulders. Extremely lightweight and easy to carry, when not in use Anycape can be worn on the shoulder, across the chest or carried by hand.

  • SMEE Anycape EEBD is made from highly resistant materials and is also flame retardant.

  • Once the automatic operation is activated the Anycape will provide an immediate and continuous supply of compressed medical oxygen for a minimum of 30 and up to 50 minutes.

  • It is a rebreathing technology used by divers underwater that recycles the oxygen remaining in exhaled breath and absorbs carbon dioxide to enable comfortable breathing with the same air composition ratio as the atmosphere.

  • Oxygen supply starts when the product is taken out of the case, so it is easy to use as no separate operation is required for operation.

  • Stable and continuous supply of oxygen during effective use time of 50 minutes.

  • Canister Heat Exchange Technology. Patented technology that solves the problem of temperature rise during Co2 adsorption, which was the biggest problem for self-contained oxygen respirators. Canister cooling system through the canister's oxygen supply pipe without a separate cooling device.
